Some weeks the scanner traffic tells you everything you need to know about what people are doing wrong. High-speed wrecks scattered across three counties, folks getting airlifted out of ditches, names showing up on the blotter for debts and warrants they thought might've blown over. You can't legislate common sense, and you can't ticket your way out of a pattern like this, but you can notice it. Ozarks Regional Medical has had a busy run of it. Success Man Faces Charges After High Speed Accident
A 22-year-old Success man was injured Saturday evening in a high-speed crash on Highway 32 about one mile west of Roby. The eastbound 2026 Chevrolet 2500 left the right side of the roadway at approximately 7:35 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Houston Man Airlifted After Motorcycle Accident
A Houston man was airlifted after a serious motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon on Highway AA, roughly four miles southeast of Success. The eastbound 2024 Kawasaki ran off a curve and struck a fence post around 3:15 p.m., according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Three Injured in Accident Near Ava
Three people were injured early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle collision south of Ava on Highway 5 around 4:10 a.m. An 18-year-old Zanoni man driving a northbound 2001 Chevrolet Silverado crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Two Ava Residents Arrested on Active Warrants
Two Ava residents were arrested September 16 following a joint operation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Ava Police Department. Daniel Young, 45, was taken into custody on a grand jury indictment charging him with two counts of fraudulent use of a credit device.
Mammoth Spring Man Injured in Wreck Near Gatewood
A Mammoth Spring, Arkansas man was injured Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 142 near Gatewood. The westbound Dodge Ram 2500 ran off the left side of the roadway around 8:10 a.m., approximately two miles east of town, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
