Road work on Rolla and Sixth is never fun, but at least we know it's coming. The closures hit right as we're moving into the season when folks want to get out and do things, so plan ahead if you're heading downtown or cutting through to the north side. It's the kind of necessary aggravation that keeps a town from falling apart, even if it means taking the long way around for a few weeks. Better now than when the real heat sets in and you're sitting in an idling truck wondering why nobody gave you notice.
