Ty's Take

Four funerals this week, and the back to school shot clinic running Fridays down at the health department. That's the rhythm of August in Howell County, the way summer starts letting go and you remember that the calendar doesn't care much about what you had planned. The Beta Club schools of merit, the ragball league firing back up, folks adopting dogs out in Mountain Home on Saturday, the business women rebranding their expo as the Amelia Market. All of it happens because somebody stayed put here and kept things running. That's worth noticing when you're making space in your life for the next thing.
