Ty's Take
Street work on a Tuesday morning in West Plains means timing, and the city's got that notice out there for folks who need to plan around it. But what caught my eye in this week's roundup was Ozarks Healthcare landing that regional hub spot in the state's Rural Health Transformation Program, because that's the kind of quiet infrastructure play that actually matters out here. You don't hear much fanfare when a hospital system gets selected to anchor something statewide, but it signals confidence in what they're doing and what they're building, which ripples through every town from here down into Arkansas and back up through the county. Between that and the VA clinic moving forward in Mountain Home, the region's betting on healthcare capacity, and you can't run a rural economy without it. Rest of us will navigate the street closure and get on with Tuesday.
