Ty's Take
There's a particular weight to a week where the obits stack up and the wrecks pile in, where a house fire takes lives and young people don't make it home. You see it in the church parking lots, in the way folks linger after services. You see it in the schools too, where they're naming Yellowjackets of the week and lighting up the scoreboard with encouragement, because that's what a town does when the road's been hard, it keeps showing up for its kids. The emergency management folks are out there doing their jobs, the fire crews and deputies seeing things nobody wants to see, and somewhere someone's putting their family home on the auction block. This is the Lebanon that doesn't make the tourism brochures, the one that knows every pothole and every heartbreak on the same stretch of asphalt.
