Ty's Take
School board voted Monday night to move forward with expansion of the Early Childhood Center, and the budget passed without the usual back-and-forth that tends to wear these meetings down. That's worth noting in a town where families with young kids have been waiting months for openings, where working parents need those seats and businesses need their employees actually able to show up. The boat plants here run on a schedule that doesn't bend, and neither do shift supervisors. You expand capacity when you see the need, and the board saw it. Simple arithmetic: more kids in the pipeline, more families staying put, more reason for them to believe Lebanon's the place to build something.
