Ty's Take
Buena Vista's got three new faces asking for your vote in this cycle, and whatever you think about small-town politics, there's something worth watching in who steps up when there's work to do. Trustee races and a mayoral seat don't generate much heat compared to what's happening down in Denver, but they're the elections that actually shape whether your roads get fixed, your water stays clean, and whether a working person can still afford to live up the valley. The county commissioners are holding community meetings on projects and priorities too, which is the kind of thing people skip but shouldn't. This is when you find out what's coming before it shows up on your tax bill.
