Ty's Take
When a rural hospital starts drawing recognition for doing maternal care right, that's worth noting in a county where the nearest alternatives mean a drive. Texas County Memorial earned that recognition because somebody there decided that delivering babies in your own community, with your own doctors and your own staff who know your family, matters enough to do it well. That kind of thing doesn't happen by accident, and it doesn't happen without the whole operation pulling together, from the obstetrics floor down to the folks who keep the lights on. We've all watched rural healthcare squeeze tighter and tighter over the years, so when TCMH plants a flag and says we're doing this one right, the rest of us ought to pay attention.
