Budget season at Sierra Vista Hospital always comes down to the same hard math: how much can you squeeze from what you've got, and what happens if the answer isn't enough. The hospital board signed off on the fiscal 2027 budget this week, and while nobody's using the word crisis, the fact that it got approved at all says something about the lean times we're living in out here. A regional hospital serving a county of our size doesn't have much room to maneuver, and the board knows it.
