Free sports physicals for all Tiger student athletes—that's the kind of thing that sounds simple until you're the parent trying to scrape together a couple hundred dollars before your kid can suit up. Sierra County's not exactly flush with disposable income, and more than a few families around here have made the hard choice to let a kid sit out because the upfront costs were just too steep. This move by the school district says something worth saying: we're not going to let money be the reason a student doesn't get to play. It's good policy, and it's good community sense.
