Ty's Take
The burglary string hitting our county the last few weeks reminds you that trouble doesn't care much about population size—six thousand people means six thousand places to case, and nowhere's really too small to bother with. What matters now is whether this arrest clears the backlog or just puts a temporary dent in it; either way, the fact that it took multiple victims and multiple break-ins to crack it down says something about how stretched thin our law enforcement runs out here. But there's also something worth noting in how our community actually works—neighbors talking, people watching each other's places, tips coming in. That's not nothing, and it's not something you get everywhere anymore.
