Small towns don't rename things lightly, and when Lebanon's city council gets around to changing the name of a golf course, you know somebody's been doing some heavy lifting behind the scenes. The whole idea of a send-off for Missouri State freshmen heading out from here says something about how this place works too, the way we still know who's leaving and still care enough to gather and tell them they've got people back home.
