School board put off a property tax decision this week, which means Lebanon parents and taxpayers get a little more time to figure out where they stand before anything's final. That's probably wise given how these conversations tend to go around here, but it also means R-3's got real numbers to work with now and nobody's pretending the district doesn't face actual choices down the road. Meanwhile, a MoDOT crew member got hurt somewhere in the county, the kind of thing that doesn't make headlines often enough even though it happens regular to folks keeping these roads open for all of us. And voters had their say on August fourth, which is done now. Sometimes a week is just a week in a working town, and this one's got the feel of things getting sorted before fall settles in.
