Ty's Take

Sunday roads around here have a way of catching people off guard, especially when the weather turns or folks are thinking about something other than the drive in front of them. We've got three separate crashes in just a couple days, two of them involving children, and a Highway Patrol arrest out of Willow Springs that suggests somebody made a choice they'll be paying for a long time. The stockyards were busy this week, the medical center's holding steady, and life moves forward the way it always does. But a run like this reminds you to ease up on the gas, keep both hands on the wheel, and remember that getting somewhere five minutes faster doesn't matter much if you don't get there at all.
