Ty's Take

Taney County Medical Hospital's recertification through CLIA tells you something about the work that happens inside those walls that most of us never see. The paperwork and compliance requirements that hospitals have to navigate just to keep their doors open legally would make a rancher's eyes water, but it's what allows Ozarks Medical Center and facilities like it across this region to do the actual work of keeping people alive. When an outfit like that successfully gets through recertification, it's worth noting, because it means the folks running the place know what they're doing and they're doing it right. That matters out here where the nearest bigger medical center is a drive, and where people depend on knowing their local hospital is squared away. Good to see it done.
