Middle Fork Access Green Water Thought to be Dye or Algae
Authorities investigated a bright green discoloration at the Middle Fork Access point near the Thomasville Slab in Oregon County after a local resident reported the unusual water color to the Sheriff's Department. Officials suspect the green appearance may be caused by dye or algae.

Janis B. Mayberry, 93, of Plato, Missouri will be laid to rest following a service Thursday, August 20th at 1 p.m. at The Roby Christian Church in Roby, Missouri. Visitation begins at 11:30 a.m., and interment will take place at The West Wind Cemetery in Plato.
Rose Marie Lucas, a devoted nurse and beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully at her home in Mountain View, Missouri on August 14, 2026. She was born in Tampa, Florida in 1958 and lived a life dedicated to compassion and family.
Nora Ellen Sales, 90, of Fordland, Missouri will be remembered at a funeral service Saturday, August 22nd at 2 p.m. at The Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava, Missouri. Visitation begins at noon, with burial to follow at The Mt. Zion Cemetery in Ava.
