Ty's Take

The voting machine changeover is done, Dominion's out and Liberty Vote's in, and yes, the politics of it landed a little sideways around here. But here's the thing worth sitting with: the machines themselves haven't changed. What matters on Election Day is what's always mattered, whether the equipment came with Republican connections or Democrat ones or no particular allegiance at all. Trust in an election system doesn't come from the vendor's Rolodex anyway. It comes from poll workers who show up, from observers who watch, and from neighbors who know this county counts votes the way it always has. If that foundation is solid, the machine doesn't matter much. If it isn't, no machine will fix it.
