Ty's Take
Soccer wraps up this week, the Tiger Games got cancelled out of nowhere, and somebody's got a new proposal for how we manage the Rio Grande, which around here means everybody's got an opinion and half of them are probably right. But what caught me was seeing the JROTC kids hitting their marks with a bow, and the voting reminder, and even that fidget spinner piece tucked in there. On a slow news week in a county our size, those small things matter more than we usually admit. A kid finding out they're good at archery, another kid getting a vote in their pocket, someone taking time to write about toys that help folks focus, a soccer season coming to a close. These are the markers of a real community, the kind you don't read about much anymore.
