Ty's Take

Most of us in small towns know the math: you can't heal if you're worried sick about who's feeding the dog back home. Sierra County Hospital and the animal care folks working together on this one aren't just being nice, they're being practical. A person admitted to the hospital shouldn't have to choose between getting well and keeping their pet from going hungry or scared. It's the kind of partnership that doesn't make headlines in the city papers, but out here it might be the difference between someone getting the care they need or trying to tough it out at home. Good to see our health providers thinking about the whole picture.
