End-of-year banquets tend to blur together after you've covered enough of them, but there's something worth marking when a place like the Elephant Butte Golf and Country Club still has the juice to bring people together—especially in a county where the economy swings on water levels and whatever's happening thirty miles east at the spaceport. And then you've got GSAPP pushing graduates out into the world, which means somebody around here is thinking about what comes next, not just what we had yesterday.
