Ty's Take
Wind's coming down off the mountains today and it's the kind that makes you want to stay inside with the coffee pot, which is fine because the Sixth Judicial District Court Judicial Nominating Commission has some work to do anyway. When those seats on the bench turn over, it matters more than people think, especially in a county where mining disputes, water rights, and public land questions keep showing up in front of judges who need to actually know this place. The dust and wind advisories will clear out by tonight, but whoever gets nominated to that court is going to be around a lot longer than this weather system. Might be worth paying attention to who's stepping up for the job.
