Ty's Take
There's always been something telling about what Silver City decides to notice on a given day. A muralist working downtown, a question mark hanging over the sports complex, the usual committee meetings and road closures, and underneath it all, a gun incident at Silver Scholars that went unsolved. This is what happens in a town that's still figuring out who it wants to be, caught between its mining past and whatever comes next. The arts draw people here now, draw money and attention to the old buildings we've kept standing, but the bones of this place run deeper than any mural, and sometimes those old tensions surface in ways the morning light doesn't quite explain away. We'll keep turning pages and see what the next one holds.
