Ty's Take
The courthouse roof leaks, the plumbing's held together with prayer, and now the chief judge is telling Grant County commissioners to quit stalling and find the money to fix it. That building's been the heart of Silver City since 1895, and it's not getting any younger. Meanwhile, we've got water pouring through the Mimbres drainage after recent storms, folks dealing with flooding up toward Lake Roberts, and our young shooters heading out to compete on the national stage. It's the way of things around here, I guess: we're patching the old while the young are already reaching for something bigger. The courthouse can wait another season, or it can wait another decade. Pick one, because that's the choice we're actually making.
