The Sacaton Fire's got people watching the Gila from both sides of the fence today—some worried about the wilderness they love disappearing into smoke, others hoping the burn clears out fuel before the next dry season gets worse. Weather's not helping much: we've got thunderstorm warnings and flood advisories stacked up while the fire teams work closures that'll pinch hikers and hunters for weeks.
