Santa Clara starts pump track project
The Village of Santa Clara council met April 9 and approved meeting minutes and department reports. The village is moving forward with a pump track project, with Mayor Arnold Lopez attending despite recently returning from a fire assignment in Ruidoso.

Anthony Gonzalez is held without bond on Sexual Assault Charges
Grant County authorities arrested 31-year-old Anthony Gonzalez of Silver City on multiple felony charges including criminal sexual penetration and child abuse. District Attorney Norman R. Wheeler announced Gonzalez is being held without bond pending prosecution.
