Ty's Take

There's a lot of moving in Silver City right now—people saying goodbye to the old schoolhouse that taught the first generation of New Mexico public students, folks wrapping up another year on the Gila trails, and the harder kind of moving when somebody gets locked up on kidnapping charges and the bail gets denied. Meanwhile Vasquez is holding meetings about the HMS situation and we got rain that knocked down fire activity, which in this part of the state counts as good news any way you slice it. It's the kind of week that reminds you a small town isn't really small at all—it's just a place where everything that matters happens close enough that you can't look away.
