Ty's Take
The Chaffee County Youth Alliance is asking us to think about what we're actually doing for the kids around here, and that's worth taking seriously. Violence, escalation, patterns that repeat, feedback forms that get passed around, action plans that sit in filing cabinets, community support that stays mostly talk. We've got people racing in the desert and debate candidates and fair boards talking budgets, all of it necessary, but the CCYA's question cuts deeper. You can't build a real community on nice intentions. You need to know what the young people need, then you need to follow through, and follow through again, even when it's inconvenient or expensive or doesn't make the headline.
