The fair's coming, which means dust, kids on mutton, and that particular smell of livestock and funnel cake that tells you summer's still got some living left in it. Meanwhile, the Chamber's moving into the Community Center and the Riverside is hosting music tonight, so there's a push right now to keep things humming before August when the valley quiets down and we remember what this place looked like before the season hit. Jackson's been up in the archives doing the work nobody notices until you need it, and that's worth noting. Around here the calendar fills fast come July, then the river takes back what it wants come October.
