Ty's Take
Tom Hanks buying a typewriter from Clickety Clack is the kind of thing that happens when you run a business in a town with real character, and it's worth noting that he sent a gift back to the shop after the transaction. That's not celebrity doing charity work from a distance. That's a man saying, I see what you're doing here, and it matters. Meanwhile, over at Healing Hearts Center, somebody looked at middle schoolers and recognized that plenty of them can't afford basic hygiene supplies, which means they're sitting in class worried about the wrong things. These two stories don't seem connected until you realize they're both about people noticing what's missing and choosing to do something about it. That's Rolla. That's worth building on.
