Ty's Take

The rain coming in over the next few days might not solve our water situation, but it's worth paying attention to because everything here lives or dies on what falls from the sky and where it goes after. Highway 160's tore up this week, the medical center's still wrestling with money, and somebody's selling bogus e-bikes to folks who thought they were getting a deal. None of that changes if we get moisture, but all of it feels a little lighter when the monsoon shows up and reminds us the San Juans still have a say in how this season plays out. The library's got its membership drive coming up too, and whatever you think about books and technology, there's something worth supporting about a place that still believes people need a physical room to gather and read.
