Ty's Take

A community arguing with itself about what's real is a community that needs to sit down together, and it looks like folks around here are trying. The Mountain Chile Cha Cha brought people out, the Blessing of the Animals will bring them out again, and now there's talk of a Longer Table on October 10. These aren't accidents. When misinformation spreads the way it does these days, and when we're all looking at the same events and seeing different things, the answer isn't to argue louder from opposite corners. It's to show up, break bread, maybe pet somebody's dog at the blessing, and remember that most of us want the same things even if we disagree on the details. That's harder work than typing, but it's the kind Pagosa Springs has always known how to do.
