Ty's Take

Tomorrow night's council meeting on Ponderosa Mountain deserves more than the usual Tuesday crowd in folding chairs. This isn't just another rezoning fight, though God knows we've had plenty of those. What we're really arguing about is what Pagosa Springs becomes in the next ten years, whether we stay a place where people work and raise families or become another high-altitude address for people who visit in July. The water question alone should keep everyone awake, and that's before you get to what it means for the views and the feel of this place. If you've got an opinion on it, tomorrow's the night to say so.
