Ty's Take

Twenty-five years is long enough to feel the weight of something, and short enough that plenty of people here remember exactly where they were when it happened. The 9/11 remembrance coming up gives us a chance to do what small towns do better than most, which is show up for each other and show up for what matters. There's something grounded about gathering together to mark a hard day, especially when you pair it with service work that actually fixes something right here in Pagosa Springs. Between that and the library opening its doors again after the renovation, and the vets and Rotary putting on pancake breakfasts, this is shaping up to be one of those weeks where the community remembers it's a community.
