Ty's Take
The break in the high school sports calendar this week comes at the right time, with the snow still sitting heavy on the Brazos and the Cumbres pass still running rough. There's something about February in these mountains, that point where the season's weight settles in on everybody, and a week off feels less like rest and more like something you needed whether you knew it or not. Come next week they'll be back after it, fresher for the pause.
