Ty's Take
Kids getting propane exposure at a ballgame is the kind of thing that makes you stop and think about what we're willing to accept as normal around here. The story out of the northern briefs doesn't say much, but it says enough, and it raises the obvious question: how does that happen during a game, and what's the fix? Meanwhile, applications are open for scholarships and assistance programs, which matters plenty in a county where families stretch every dollar thin, and the fall sports push toward playoffs is heating up the way it does this time of year. But that propane incident, brief as the mention is, deserves a harder look than a couple of lines in the briefs. Safety's the baseline. Everything else comes after.
