Ty's Take

Fall volleyball season hits different when you're playing at altitude and you've got maybe a dozen schools spread across three counties. The Lady Devils took their lumps against Capital this week, which is the kind of thing that happens when you're building a program in country where travel alone eats half your practice time. What matters more than any single loss is that these kids are out there playing, showing up for each other in a place where you can't exactly recruit talent from the next town over. By November we'll know more about where this squad's headed, but right now it's just about showing up, getting better, and knowing your teammates have got your back when the gym is the social center of town.
