Ty's Take
Court dockets don't usually tell you much beyond the mechanics of who did what and what the judge decided, but when you stack up a molester doing fourteen years, an ATV incident moving toward indictment, and a no-confidence letter landing on the sheriff's desk, you start seeing the shape of a community under pressure. This country has always sorted its own troubles the old way—family knew family, word got around, justice moved slow but it moved. That system held because people stayed put and reputations meant something. But something's different now, maybe too many transients, maybe too much fractured between the old families and the newcomers, maybe just the strain of a place caught between what it was and what it's becoming. The school kids running track and tennis don't see any of that in the headlines. Good. Let them have their moment. The rest of us have got work to do.
