Ty's Take

Every election season up here on the hill, you get a reminder that this place thinks different. We've got our Daughters of the American Revolution pinning medals on Navy veterans, early voting drives wrapped in revolutionary rhetoric, gallery tours of visual poetry, and a county charter debate that reads more like a physics problem than politics. It's the Los Alamos way, really. You live in a town built by the government to split atoms and change history, surrounded by mountains and monument lands, and somehow you still believe the small decisions matter most. That's not naïve. That's just what happens when you get a lot of smart people in one place who actually show up for each other.
