Ty's Take
You can't swing a cat on the Hill right now without hitting someone worried about housing, and for good reason. The Lab keeps growing, people keep coming, and what used to be affordable mountain living has turned into a squeeze. County Council candidates are circling the problem like everyone else around here knows they should be, but here's what matters: someone has to actually fix it, not just issue snapshots about it. Meanwhile, the newcomers who do land here are finding their community, whether that's a bike park being debated or storytellers gathering at Samizdat on a Monday night or kids catching a movie at SALA on Saturday. This is what a town does when it's growing too fast and holding on anyway. The hard part comes next, when the talking stops and the actual choices get made.
