Ty's Take

You don't get many towns where the same week brings stories about Arctic acoustics, wheelchair ramps, and the county's science festival. The Lab's work listening to the Arctic matters, sure, but so does a county government that actually fixes the little things. That's the balance we strike up here on the plateau, between the work that changes the world and the work that changes your neighbor's life. Both kinds of science matter.
