Ty's Take

Most weeks you can read these pages and find the machinery of a small town ticking along, and this week's no different. A couple getting married, three folks stepping up to talk about what they'd do on the county council, and a market where somebody's probably selling tomatoes alongside their grandmother's quilts and someone else's bookshelves full of things they don't need anymore. Nothing flashy, nothing that makes the evening news down in Santa Fe. But that's how places like this actually work. We don't build our communities on headlines. We build them on the people who show up, who commit to each other and to the work of keeping things running, who still believe a Saturday morning market is worth your time. That matters more than most of us will say out loud.
