Ty's Take
Old photographs have a way of anchoring a town to what it was, which matters more in a place like Lebanon than most folks realize. These pictures, whatever they show, are reminders that this crossroads has always been about movement and making things, about people passing through or settling in to build something that lasted. Route 66 nostalgia gets plenty of ink around here, but the real history runs deeper than tourist postcards, it runs through the boat plants and the river, through families who've worked these same jobs for three generations. A good look back at where we've been isn't nostalgia for its own sake, it's the only honest way to understand where we're headed. Take a look at what the Record dug up.
