Ty's Take
Lebanon voters went to the polls yesterday and spoke on a handful of local races, which is what August primaries are mostly about out here, sorting out who moves forward and who heads home. The real contests tend to be decided in these summer elections in a county like ours, where party registration runs pretty lopsided one direction. People showed up for it, or they didn't, and now we'll spend the next three months getting to know the names on the general ballot a little better. That's how it works in a working town, where most folks are focused on what's happening at the boat plants and what the fishing forecast looks like come fall. The results speak for themselves, and they're yours to find on the front pages where they belong.
