There's something about a Hollywood crew finding their way to Laclede County that makes you stop and think about what we've got here that the rest of the world wants to see. They're not coming for the interstate or the strip malls—they're coming for the stories, the kind that stick with people who grew up running the roads between here and Bennett Spring, or whose families built boats in those plants, or who remember when Route 66 was the only way through. A film that digs into Laclede County memories is really just another way of saying somebody finally noticed that ordinary lives in ordinary places aren't ordinary at all when you pay attention to them. That premiere's going to draw folks from here and somewhere else, and for one night both of those worlds will be looking at the same screen. Might be worth seeing what they see.
