Ty's Take
There's something about spring in a crossroads town—everybody's looking ahead at the same time, wondering what gets fixed and what gets left behind. Lebanon's got a handful of those decisions stacked up right now: whether the ballfields get a modern playing surface, how the police department's new co-responder model actually works when the call comes in, what happens to the old VFW building that's stood through decades of changes, and whether a freshened-up Route 66 sign reminds people we're still here or just looks like we're trying too hard. None of it's earth-shaking on its own. But taken together, it's the town deciding who it wants to be—still rooted in what made it matter, or reaching for something new. Both impulses are honest. The trick is not losing yourself in the choosing.
