Ty's Take

Wildfire warnings, new amusement park renderings, a sewer problem getting solved in Osage Beach, and the Big Bass Bash spinning up again. It's the kind of week where you can see the lake region doing what it does best: managing growth on one hand while keeping the tourism engine running on the other. Between the developers showing off that $500 million Oasis project and folks gearing up for rock and gem shows and boutique crawls, there's money moving through here. But wildfire season in the Ozarks doesn't care much about what's being built or what's being bought. That's the real story underneath all of it. We'll take the economic news gladly, but October in Missouri means you keep one eye on the dry timber and the other on the sky.
