Ty's Take

We lost four good people this week, and that's the kind of news that makes you step back from the boat show announcements and the new Buick deals long enough to remember what this place is really built on. Danny Hicks, Miss Kitty Gilmore, Viola Sperle, and Michael Hill aren't just names in the obits, they're the folks who've been around these docks and neighborhoods for decades, the ones who know every twist in the road and every story that matters. The county's moving forward with airport management changes, the Camdenton budget is climbing north of ten million, and there's talk of security upgrades down at the courthouse, which all tracks with a community that's growing. But growth doesn't mean much if we're not paying attention to who built the foundation we're standing on.
