Ty's Take

A three-vehicle collision on the road to Osage Beach yesterday took one life and sent two others to the hospital, the kind of accident that hits different when it happens close enough to home that you know someone who knows someone involved. Motorcycle accidents tend to be unforgiving, and the early reports suggest speed or road conditions played a role, though investigators are still sorting through the details. These waters and roads draw a lot of seasonal traffic mixed with locals who know every curve, and that's a combination that demands respect from everybody behind the wheel. The names haven't been released yet, which means somebody's family is still in that awful waiting period before the news gets worse or, God willing, better. Buckle in out there.
