Ty's Take
Looks like the Lake Expo pulled in quite the roster this season, heavy on the entrepreneurial side and light on the local angle. There's merit scholarship talk and pet product startups, a novel-writing doc and fountain warranties, wellness clinics in London and better business systems. None of it's wrong, exactly, and Lord knows we need folks thinking about how to help kids afford college or how to build something that lasts. But the real story might be simpler: when your regional gathering starts reflecting national trends instead of local conditions, you're either growing into something bigger or losing sight of what made the gathering matter in the first place. Worth thinking about as next year's calendar fills up.
