Ty's Take
Ozark Fisheries hitting a century in business this week is the kind of milestone that doesn't happen by accident, and it certainly doesn't happen without the kind of staying power you don't see much anymore. A hundred years means your grandparents probably bought from these people, and your kids probably will too. Meanwhile we've got the Cannonball Run back, Hell's Angels rolling through, a five-million-dollar lakefront showpiece, and enough weekend traffic headed to the water that the smart money says grab your spot early and don't count on moving fast. Elections came and went Tuesday with decent turnout and no fuss, which is how it should work. It's August around here, which means the lake's doing what it does best: bringing people in, keeping them busy, and giving the whole region reasons to stick around.
